GoldEgg Free Run Omega-3 eggs are laid by hens housed in state of the art, cage free, weather sheltered barns. Each hen is allowed to roam, feed, perch, scratch and lay their eggs in nest boxes.
- 85 mg DHA per egg - DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid, supports the normal development of the brain, eyes and nerves primarily in children under 2 years of age.
- 1 mg Lutein per egg - Lutein is an antioxidant which may protect eyes from age related macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss for seniors. The enhanced levels of Lutein are achieved by adding marigold flower extract to the hens feed.
- Source of Vitamin D - Vitamin D strengthens bones and teeth and may help protect against certain cancers and auto-immune diseases. Each Free Run Omega-3 egg contains 15% of the Daily Value of Vitamin D.
